Workshops
Workshops provide participants with new knowledge and skills through involvement in interactive learning activities. The 2018 conference program will include a combination of invited and open workshop submissions.
Proposals for workshops should include:
o Workshop title (maximum 17 words)
o Name and institutional affiliation of each presenter
o The purpose, learning outcomes, content, assumed knowledge and target audience of the workshop.
Submission conditions
- Licensing of content
- In anticipation of the publication of abstracts, the AGMC requires that you grant the Council a non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, display and store the abstract worldwide in all forms (including on the Council’s website), formats and media now known or as developed in the future, including print, electronic and digital forms. You will retain copyright of your abstract, in addition to the moral right you are entitled to as author of the abstract.
- The Licence to Use Copyright and Audio Visual Permissions can be viewed on the conference website. You will be asked to agree to the Terms and Conditions in this licence when you submit your abstract/proposal for review.
- Membership status
- You do not have to be a member of the AGMC to submit a presentation at the conference.
- Presentation scheduling
- Any time constraints relating to the presentation date/time must be brought to the attention of the Conference Organising Committee when submitting the proposal. Changes cannot be accommodated once the presentation has been scheduled.
- Code of Ethics and Conflict of Interest Disclosure
- All research reported at the conference must adhere to the The Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research. All presenters must also disclose any possible conflict of interest, in order to allow the audience to form their own opinions on the information being presented. The disclosure of the conflict will vary depending on the situation, and advice can be sought from the AGMC Staff.
- Media Involvement
- Some presentations may be selected to be the subject of a media release, and you will be asked to nominate an author/presenter to be the media contact when making your online submission.
- Audio-visual materials
- Laptop computers and data projector/screens are standard in all rooms. For any additional audio-visual equipment, please email conference@agmc.org.au no later than 30 August 2018. Additional audio-visual requests will be at the discretion of the conference organisers.
Review process
All submissions are subject to review by at least two reviewers, with respect to the quality/relevance. The results of the review process and the decision of the Conference Organising Committee are final and there are no appeals. Due to the number of submissions received, individual feedback may not be possible.
